Warranty Information

At True Mobility we pride ourselves on our customer service and after sales care. We hope that you are happy with your purchase and that we will respond quickly in the unlikely event that your product develops a fault during the warranty period.  We have our own team of experienced engineers who can carry out manufacturer approved repairs to all our products.

We do not outsource our repairs to any other company. This gives us more control over the saftey, quality and the speed at which the repairs are carried out. We understand that you may depend on many of the electrical products we provide for your everday mobility.

So, we have a process of which we try to adhere to quickly should your product develop a fault whilst still under the warranty period.

•  Our engineer will contact you once a fault has been reported and try to diagnose the problem and provide guidence on practical solutions if possible.

•  If the fault cannot be resolved over the phone and the product is no-longer working, we will then send an engineer out to you.

•  If we cannot repair the equipment on site and we expect the repair to take longer than 5 working days, we will provide you with a courtesy equipment to a similar specification.

Scooter and Powerchairs

All scooters are sold with a manufacturers warranty for a period of either 12 or 24 months. (please check each individual product details). This warranty will cover parts and labour costs of any repairs that maybe required during that period.

Warranty Exclusions

The manufacturer’s warranty doesnot extend to replacement of items due to normal wear and tear which includes any of the following:

• Tyres

• Light bulbs and fuses

• Motor Brushes

• Seat upholstery and plastic shrouds

Batteries are normally cover by a limited warranty for a period of 12 months subject to the battery charging regime being followed. Please see our Scooter Buying Guide for information and guidance on how to look after your batteries. It is a stipulation of most manufacturer’s warranties that the scooter is serviced at least annually by an authorised dealer. We are authorised to carry out servicing and further information on servicing can be found in the Scooter Buying Guide. If the scooter is not properly serviced at the required intervals this will invalidate the warranty. Any repairs or modifications not undertaken by an authorised engineer will also invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty. Most manufacturers do not permit the transfer of warranties to subsequent owners.

Stairlifts

All stairlifts are sold with a maufacturers 12 month warranty. Extended warranties can be purchased for addtional cover for upto 5 years. This warranty will cover parts and labour costs of any repairs needed during the guarantee period. Parts usually mean parts that are proved to be at fault against the manufacturer’s specifications but can often exclude normal wear and tear or consumable items.
