Why do I need a riser recliner chair?

If you suffer from medical problems such as arthritis and back pain, and find it difficult to get up from your chair you my find a riser/recliner chair will help you.

How the riser/recliner chair works.

An Electric riser recliner chair rises up so you are almost stood up. To sit back down rest in the chair and lower. Depending on the model of chair you purchase, the footrest will automatically come up a supporting your legs. The riser recliner chair can be electric or manual.

Remember if you are purchasing an electric riser/recliner chair, ensure it can be positioned near an electric socket.

What type of riser recliner chair should I get?

Depending on the type of your disability will determine the type of riser/recliner chair you purchase. Do you need additional supports, massage and heat facilities?

Riser/recliner chair come in different sizes to suit people who are different sizes. Ensure you get the right size chair for you ensuring comfort.

The Cliveden Riser Recliner Chair is a dual motor version of the Chatsworth riser recliner chair (medium to tall user). The smaller Blenheim size is not available as dual motor chair.

The chair seat and backrest move independently to give a greater variety of comfortable seating positions.

This Recliner`s smooth and quiet lift action is mains-powered, via a 24V transformer, for extra safety to ensure only the correct voltage goes to the chair.

Castors are fitted to the base of the chair for easy movement anywhere in the home. The castors are lifted from the ground when the chair rises, to prevent slippage.

The Cliveden recliner chair has a good ``TV watching`` position where legs are elevated and the back only slightly reclined, and a further reclined position which is perfect for a snooze!

The Cliveden riser recliner chair comes in three different backrest options - firm winged back, soft foam button-back or the ``waterfall`` back with zipped hollow fibre pillows.

All AJ Way fabric options comply with BS5852 (cigarette and match retardant) as standard, and are suitable for domestic use. Only the Panvelle fabric is water resistant, and complies to BS7176 Medium Hazard, and is suitable for contract use (care home, etc).
