Description

Eclipse Bariatric Wheelchairs

These wheelchairs are designed specifically for heavy individuals up to 270kg (42st). To suit the needs for larger users, the chairs are adjustable in height and depth. The unique wheelchair frame design ensures that the greater part of the weight is taken up on the rear wheels which lightens the steering and reduces energy loss. As well as the seat depth and seat to floor height being adjustable, the seat and back can be angled, allowing greater variation in adapting to the individual user.
The back of the Wheelchair is constructed so that users who have a protruding behind can get good support to their lumbar spine region.

Front wheels are placed in front of the seat to ensure anterior anti-slip, an important consideration since most bariatric users have a lot of weight placed in front of them. This also makes it possible for the user to get in and out of the wheelchair without the risk of tipping. Footrests are purchased separately.

With its removable back, arm and footrests and quick-release wheels the Eclipse can be dismantled to fit into smaller cars quickly and easily.
